Mike – Chris

October 26, 2010

Peek the spring collection from Designer Mike Gonzalez of Mike and Chris. This collection makes me want to skip the layers of Fall and jump right to spring. Loving the multi ethnic and geometric combinations going on and the signature leather jackets  that are always coveted. I want to live in those turbans every day, speaking of turbans, there is a new batch at the Stitch all sewn up, stay tuned for pics….

With the cold depths of winter looming in the near future, we’ve all had one thing on our clothing-oriented minds: sweaters. Maybe you’re envisioning yourself impermeable against the brutal winter gusts in a cozy chunky knit. Or, perhaps, you’ve been searching for the perfect cardigan to carry over all of your favorite summer shirts. One thing we all know is that sweaters will be necessary, and dammit, we want the best deals on the warmest, statement-making, stylish ones we can find. We did some research for you, check out our favorite styles to keep you warm this winter:

Everybody needs a sweater with a little bit of humor. We like this one by Whistler.

Put some pattern into your winter wardrobe with fairisle, the winter staple. Check out this cozy version from ASOS.

Opt for a sweet ethnic design as another option if pattern is what you’re looking for. This one is also by Asos. Or go for the black and white effect with this Left on Houston cardigan or  Dolce Vita

Cropped cable knits give a great vintage vibe. Alexa Chung designed a this one for Madewell, or this classic cardigan from Pixie Market by Finders Keep

Wondering how to do animal print in winter? Right now there’s a lot of it in cardigans, this one is by Motel.

Distressed sweaters, always. These torn up options come from Tripp NYC and Need Supply

A cozy grandpa cardigan is a cute carefree look. Married to the Mob gives us this version.

shame on you
